Why the 6th Notch is Mandatory for Precision

At the 6th notch (6/11), Windows applies a 1.00× multiplier. Every hardware coordinate count from your sensor equals exactly 1 pixel of screen travel. Settings above 6/11 cause pixel skipping (interpolation), while settings below 6/11 discard counts (decimation).

3. Enhance Pointer Precision (Acceleration)

Directly beneath the pointer speed slider is a checkbox labeled "Enhance pointer precision". Despite its marketing name, this setting is Windows' built-in mouse acceleration curve.

  • Enabled (Default): Slow hand movements move fewer pixels, while fast flicks multiply cursor displacement. Useful on small trackpads or low DPI office mice.
  • Disabled (Esports Standard): Cursor movement scales linearly 1:1 strictly with physical distance, establishing consistent spatial muscle memory.
