Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026. DPIonMouse.com is designed around a strict client-side data minimization model.

1. Summary of Data Practices

At DPIonMouse.com, your privacy is respected by default. We do not operate user registration systems, require sign-ups, or transmit your mouse tracking hardware data across the internet.

2. Client-Side Mouse Testing Data

When you use our Mouse DPI Tester, Mouse Acceleration Test, or Polling Rate Inspector:

  • Pointer movements, mouse coordinates (clientX, movementX), and click timestamps are processed exclusively inside your computer's local browser runtime.
  • No movement streams, coordinates, or test recordings are ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Local Storage Usage

We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) strictly for functional user preferences:

  • Theme Preference: Storing your selected color mode (light, dark, or system).
  • Mouse Baseline Profiles: Saving your optional custom mouse settings if you choose to save them on the My Mouse Baseline page.

This data remains on your physical machine and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

4. Server Logs & Hosting

Standard web hosting infrastructure logs standard HTTP request headers (such as IP address, user-agent string, and requested page URL) for routing, security, and DDoS mitigation purposes. These logs are maintained in accordance with standard infrastructure security practices.

5. Contact Regarding Privacy
